The Lausturm rises in the middle of the Sooss vineyards.
This sight gives the landscape around the wine village a charming character.
The tower owes its name to the phylloxera, and the pest also destroyed the Sooss vines in the 19th century Sooss all over again.
The hardship and worries caused by the severe damage caused by phylloxera have not been forgotten to this day

In the middle of our vineyards, on the hill of the so-called Kaiserstein, the second landmark of Sooß, the Lausturm, rises next to the church. It gives the surrounding landscape a charming character and attracts visitors to our wine town again and again to enjoy the impressive panoramic view from up there over the sunlit vineyards of the Sooß vineyards, which are valued by all wine connoisseurs.
