The world forest rightly bears its name. The forest is divided into the various continents and the trees and plants also come from the respective continent. Worth a detour in every season.

Or you just go for a walk. The trails are very well maintained, even the trails through the woods.
Popular starting point for young families, thrillers - also with dog, cyclist and rider.
Can be well used as a starting point for further hikes through the Kranzberger forest.

The arboretum was built on the deserted village of Oberberghausen, of which essentially only the church of St. Clement is preserved. The land was acquired by the state in 1883, and the buildings were demolished in subsequent years. In addition to a demonstration and experimental garden for pastures, pastures were cultivated on large areas. Since the economic success failed, the area was reforested from about 1900. In addition to spruce trees, some exotic trees (eg Douglas fir and Weymouth pine) were also planted.
