The Julienne is a Belgian stream flowing in the province of Liège, a tributary of the Meuse on the right bank.
It has its source in Retinne, then crosses the town of Saive, watering the foot of the old castle there. It passes in the bottom of Légipont, then under the E40 motorway and enters a small, partly wooded, rural valley; it forms the Julienne ponds before flowing into the Meuse at Argenteau.
The name evokes Sainte-Julienne de Cornillon, born in Retinne in 1192.

Argenteau (in Walloon Åyetê) is a section of the Belgian municipality of Visé located in the Walloon Region in the province of Liège.
It was a municipality in its own right before the merger of municipalities in 1977. It has a hamlet: Wixhou.
Argenteau is located at the western end of the Herve plateau, between the Meuse valley and the wooded valley of the Julienne.

The Julienne ponds are part of the domain of the same name, after the stream that runs there. The Julienne joins other, smaller streams before ending up in the Meuse, which is much lower. A beautiful area, nice for walking around the ponds and in the woods (with some serious calf bites) and enjoying the flowing Julienne. The ponds and the domain are located at the castle of Argenteau, which looks down on the Meuse on a rock.

In the area you will find various facilities such as a playground, restaurants and more. There are also picnic benches.
