The Ilsetal between Feudingen and the source is just uniquely beautiful and my number 1 of all highlights on the Rothaarsteig. It must be said, however, that only the Rothaarsteig access route from the Feudingen train station to the source runs here, or on a section of the route there is also a Rothaarsteig trail.
When I think back to the experiences here, I'm still blown away! The fords through the Ilse, the narrow paths, the wildly splashing Ilse, the rock formations above you. Just awesome!

Unfortunately, this is now unacceptable by bike. There are trees lying across the road every 20 metres and the blackberry growth causes torn hands and legs
