The American sculptor Tom Otterness modeled twenty-three sculpture groups inspired by legends about the sea, the largest of which - the Haringeter - is no less than thirteen meters high. These images were placed on the boulevard in 2004.
The images of people and animals on a balcony, stairs, islands, benches and plinths depict well-known stories such as Gulliver's travels, Hansel and Gretel, Pinocchio and Moby Dick. There are also lesser known fairy tales such as The lion and the mouse, and Oh Lars, my boy.
