    The Wernigerode Aviation Museum displays 50 restored airplanes and helicopters in four halls covering an area of approximately 6,000 square meters. Also on display are parts, devices and equipment, including ejection seats, cockpits and navigation instruments, pilot equipment, engines and airplane models from various countries. The exhibition mainly focuses on aviation after 1945. The technology section also includes restored automobiles and diving equipment. In addition to large exhibits, cutaway models and functional explanations explain aviation. A total of around 1,000 exhibits are presented.
