In the past, the Osterloher Aller weir represented an insurmountable obstacle for aquatic life. This has now changed. The NLWKN has replaced the weir with a "rough channel", so the fish can now pass through it again on their way to their traditional spawning grounds.
The crossing for cyclists and pedestrians is now complete and this place is also now a wonderful place for local recreation in the city of Celle.
