The Cathedral of Our Lady is a cathedral in the Belgian city of Antwerp. The cathedral is located on the Handschoenmarkt and is the main church of the diocese of Antwerp. She is dedicated to Maria. The church was a cathedral between 1559 and 1803 and from 1961 to the present day. The tower of the Cathedral of Our Lady is part of a group of 56 belfries in Belgium and France included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

When the diocese of Antwerp was founded in 1559, the church was elevated to a cathedral. The current interior shows traces of different episodes in its history: Baroque altarpieces, neo-Gothic chapels, a wealth of statues, paintings and other works of art are impressive. Especially the Descent from the Cross by Rubens attracts many tourists. The cathedral has been restored both inside and out over the past 50 years. The visitor can now enjoy a beautiful church in very good condition.
