Sometimes they are placed in a somewhat inconvenient way and you can miss one or two turns.
That's why it's important to have a map with you and keep checking to see if there aren't any signposts for too long.
I've had KOMOT with the world map since March 2024 (one-off fee of €29.90), which also allows you to navigate and it always tells you when to turn where or whether you're even going in the wrong direction.
