From the Kościuszko Mound there is a wonderful, the best, panorama of Krakow, but also the Krakow Upland, the Sandomierz Basin, the Wielickie Foothills, and even the Tatra Mountains (for the latter you need good weather). It is also a historic 19th-century fort, a real treat!

The Mound is over 30m high, and is 333 meters above sea level.

To visit all the exhibitions here, you need to buy a ticket.

Vandring

Admission costs 18 zl. The museum is included in the admission price. Opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The view of Krakow is beautiful.
Wikipedia: "The Kościuszko Hill in Krakow was built in 1820-1823 in honor of the Polish national hero Tadeusz Kościuszko. Kościuszko was a general and leader of the uprising named after him against the partitioning powers Russia and Prussia in 1794."

The Kościuszko Hill was built in 1820/23 in honour of Tadeusz Kościuszko, the Polish national hero who led the uprising against Russia in 1794 and, after initial victories, was defeated by the Russians. Soil from these battlefields was probably used for the (quite steep) hill with its double spiral path...
The Austrians later (1850) converted the hill into a fortress.

With the entrance ticket you can visit both: the hill and the fortress.
