Artificial lake, sadly famous for having submerged the entire town, then rebuilt further upstream. The dam is truly impressive.

Coming out of the valley around the bend, the deep blue of the water provides a beautiful picture together with the lush green of the mountains all around. A little further on you can see the small village of Vagli Sotto on a hill on the other side of the lake, which is connected to the north shore by the imposing bridge. A worthwhile section. Also the onward journey up to Vagli Sopra is nice but relatively steep.
