The castle Biberstein is a castle in the municipality of Biberstein in the Swiss canton of Aargau. It was created by reconstruction of a medieval castle. Today the castle is a residential and working home for mentally handicapped adults.
The castle Schloss Biberstein (SSB), which is domiciled in the castle, is a residential, working and educational center for adult people with mental or multiple disabilities. The politically and denominationally neutral foundation offers living arrangements and fields of work that correspond to the needs, abilities and possibilities of the inhabitants. Young adults have a number of training places. Elderly people will be provided with adapted housing and care. The expenses of the foundation are covered by services provided by the canton of Aargau, the cantons of the cantons outside the cantons, IV, billing to the suppliers, income from product sales and services, as well as donations. The Foundation's capital and appropriate working capital serve to secure the foundation.
