The climb over the route I have chosen is not recommended. Very steep straight through the forest on a hardly recognizable and overgrown path. Coming from the other side (Zagrad / Vedez) much more pleasant to go.

Panoramic view from Opatija There is a beautiful hiking trail to Veprinac, which used to be used by the residents of Veprinac to sell their fruit and vegetables at the Opatija market.

This section of the climb to the top of Orjak is not demanding. The trail is well marked and well-trodden and there are no dangerous parts. It is pleasant for a night hike. I recommend a visit. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Night hiking is a special and interesting experience.
