Beerbach was first mentioned in 1109. It was the seat of a Reich Ministerialienfamilie, which is also assigned to the departed tower hill castle Beerbach. The first branch church was built around 1300. [2] In the late Middle Ages, more and more Nuremberg citizens were landlords. Since 1520 Beerbach has its own parish. At the time of the Counter Reformation in 1628, the parish Beerbach refuge for Reformed and Lutherans. Until 1806, the places were part of the territory of the Neo-Confederation. Since 1806 Beerbach and Tauchersreuth formed a community. In the course of the territorial reform they were in 1972 the district of Erlangen (from May 1, 1973 district Erlangen -Hohrstadt) slammed and incorporated after significant protests of the population on 1 July 1976 in the city Lauf an der Pegnitz.
