Wamrong is a hill town and subdistrict (drungkhag) in the Trashigang district of eastern Bhutan, located on the national highway between Trashigang and Samdrup Jongkhar. It serves as an important stopover for travelers and is often a rest stop for buses on this route. Wamrong Drungkhag administers two populous gewogs, Khaling and Lumang, whose economies are largely based on subsistence farming.
