The hut was built in 2023 as part of the Via Alta Crio project and is considered essential for the realization of the Via Alta Crio. It is located halfway between the Giúmela Hut in the Pontirone Valley and the Quarnei Hut in the Malvaglia Valley.
It has a kitchen powered by LPG cylinders. It is not heated. There is no running water inside. A small photovoltaic system provides energy for the interior lighting and a USB port for charging electronic devices.
The dry toilet is not connected to the interior but is only accessible from the outside. It utilizes the natural composting process of solid and liquid waste.
