Located in the hamlet of Montois near Ressons-le-Long, the Château de Montois is a historic estate with roots in the 16th century. Originally developed as a farm, the estate was expanded in 1736 with the addition of a first pavilion. Between 1875 and 1890, the castle underwent a significant extension, with the addition of two side wings and octagonal turrets. The architecture reflects the regional style of the Soissonnais, including stepped gables and symmetrical volumes.
The interior includes a monumental staircase, vaulted cellars and a terrace overlooking a formally laid out park. The estate also has a chapel, fountains, ponds and a historic hydraulic system.
In 2024, the entire complex was included in the French Heritage Register (ISMH), recognising it as a valuable cultural-historical entity.
