It stands in the center of the village, located on the ridge of a hill above Lake Nefro. It was built in 1823-28 instead of two previous wooden churches; in 1905, a new, more spacious refectory was built. The upper tiers of the bell tower were destroyed, the dome was not preserved, and the refectory roof was redone. The brick and whitewashed building is a unique example of a domed church in the style of mature classicism. Fragments of oil painting from the second half of the 19th century have survived.
