Dennenlohe Castle is an 18th-century castle in the village of Dennenlohe, a district of the Franconian community of Unterschwaningen in the Ansbach district. It has a historical and a landscaped park created in 1990.

The plant originated from a moated castle. The oldest known owner was Hartwig I von Lierheim, Bishop of Augsburg, who is mentioned in 1167 in the function as lord of the castle. In the course of the late Middle Ages and early modern times, the estate came into the hands of different families through marriage and purchase: von Truhendingen, Leonrod and Schenk von Castell. [1] The lords of Merkingen were possibly also in the possession of the castle in the 14th century. The moated castle was abandoned and fell into disrepair.
