Knightsbridge Military Cemetery, in Mesnil-Martinsart, is named after a communication trench that was built at the beginning of the Battle of the Somme and was "used" by combat units until the German retreat in 1917.
From late March to July 1918, this cemetery was still in use following the German offensive in this sector. It contains 548 graves: 490 British, 39 Newfoundlanders, 1 Australian, and 18 New Zealanders.
