Is it safe? It was my first hot air baloon trip but I have experience as a paraglider and climbing in extreme hights. I stuud right beside the baloon captain and had the chance to extensively chat with him and also watch his behaviour. I felt absolutely safe. He seemed to assesk risks, know what he was doing, the equpitment (gas tanks, strings, burner, balloon) all looked to be in a good shape. It goes up high. Some people might be unconfortable in high altitude. But I had the feeling that everybody enjoyed it. He also clearly stated stafety procedures to the people in the cabin (brace position) and explained how he could steer the ballon and also make a emergency descent if neccessary. Try it. It was my best Egypt Experience so far.
