1919-1923 The tombstones of the soldiers who died in the battles for Lithuanian Independence with the Bermontians and the Poles are marked by standard concrete crosses with suns and inscriptions. 69 soldier's crosses were erected for the buried Lithuanian soldiers. 53 soldiers are known. An obelisk is built between the graves. In front of the obelisk, on the shield with the Vytis cross, it is written: "For those who died for the freedom of the homeland in 1919-1923. Lithuanians and Lithuanian women will worship you heroes forever. That you performed your duties sanctimoniously. That you graduates are famous Širvintas! For the dead comrades of Butigeidians". During the Soviet era, this monument was not demolished and has survived to this day.
