Stop by St. Clements Church while biking through the charming town of Heuvel. This beautiful church, where Vincent van Gogh's father once preached, is steeped in history and art—Vincent himself captured its essence in sketches and paintings. Originally Catholic, it switched to Protestant in the 1700s and returned to Catholicism in the 1800s, adding to its rich story.
🌷 The pristine, postcard-like surroundings make it a perfect spot to unwind. Just a short ride from Eindhoven, it’s a highly recommended stop for both history buffs and art lovers!

Correction: this is the old (Catholic) Church in Gerwen. This is not the church where Vincent van Gogh's father was a minister. This church(let) is located at Papenvoort 2a in Nuenen. The Van Gogh Village Museum is also located there and you can get all the information there. Incidentally, Vincent did make several paintings in Gerwen, such as "the potato eaters" which was painted in the house at Gerwenseweg 4.
