At least four groups with each 100 traditional weavers under big open roofs are producing long but only ca 10 cm wide sheets of cotton fabric. To make them into wider cloth, they are stitched together later. Most patterns are woven, and there are also some traditional printing techniques on display in several co-operative sales stands.
In between are women selling excellent village-made shea butter (beure de karité) and local honey. One karité tree can produce 50 kg of seeds, made into about 10 to 20 kg of healthy shea oil or cream. One pound cost between 2000 and 10000 FCFA.
