If there is snow, you can race down over 1,200 meters on this slope and descend 170 meters to the parking lot on Siegfriedstrasse.

The Nordbahn descent was designed as a synthetic ski slope many years ago. The so-called Nordbahn was intended to enable year-round alpine skiing fun, but unfortunately it quickly turned out to be a flop and the plastic mats were never removed. Environmental initiatives like the Schmitten Environmental Sponsors regularly collect the big ones

Pieces if things look very bad, especially after winter, and pieces are sticking out of the ground. After inspections with the responsible authorities at district and state level, it is now clear that the mats should not be removed but should remain in the ground.
