The windmill Nieuw Leven (formerly De Zwaluw and Windlust) is a seesaw mill in the heart of Hazerswoude-Dorp in the municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn. The mill dates from the 17th century and was originally built as a polder mill and rebuilt in 1815 or 1816 on the current site as a flour mill. The municipality of Hazerswoude (later merged into the municipality of Rijnwoude, later in the municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn) came into the possession of Nieuw Leven in 1962. The mill has two pairs of grinding stones. There used to be three. In the mid-1990s, the mill was thoroughly restored and made ready to grind again. The mill also contains a couple of stones that were driven by an electric motor, but which are no longer suitable for grinding.

The mill has the status of a national monument and is regularly open to the public.
