    The Ice Well of the Stepar is a work of Vacarisses (Vallès Occidental) protected as a Cultural Property of Local Interest. It is located in the north-west of the municipality, within the natural park of Sant Llorenç del Munt and Serra de l'Obac. It is close to the road that connected Manresa and Barcelona, close to the stretch that joined the new house of Obac and the house of Barata, in a wooded area that can be reached on foot.

    It is completely preserved and consists of the cavity excavated in the ground (cylindrical in shape and lined internally with stone) and the cover with a false stone dome. On the east side, where the terrain is more uneven, the well has a part of the outer wall under the dome. It has three upper rectangular openings at the start of the vault, currently protected with a grate. Typologically, it is a well almost identical to that of Obac Vell, although of slightly larger dimensions.

      The Ubach family owned the Vell and Nou de l'Obac farmhouses, which during the 17th and 18th centuries had great dynamism, thanks to the heyday of the vineyard and other rural activities, such as coal production, a glass furnace and the same ice wells, which allowed the ice to be sold in the city and thus diversify its businesses. The wells were abandoned at the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century. In 1990 it was restored by the Diputació de Barcelona, manager of the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt and Serra de l'Obac.

        This well is the first that was built on the farm of Mas Obac; specifically in 1706 by Josep Ubach i Serra, under the license of Josep Amat, lord of Castellbell i Vacarisses. The establishment obliged its owner to pay a census for Christmas to the Marquis. The production of this well mainly covers Terrassa, sometimes Manresa and more often the city of Barcelona. It must be said that it was located very close to the main road from Manresa to Barcelona. The demand must have been significant enough, since in 1760 the new owner of the farm, Antoni Ubach, received a license to build another ice well, that of l'Obac vell or Camí de la Font de la Portella, further near the farm
