The Tower Arch Trailhead is in a rather quiet, remote part of the park and requires driving 8 miles on an unpaved, 4x4 road. There is a pit toilet at this trailhead. Salt Valley Road is sandy and can be quite rough in some places; it is not possible to drive on this road when it is wet. Cell service is not reliable - it is often nonexistent - at this trailhead and the surrounding area. I recommend stopping at the Visitor Center to get information about current road conditions before heading out to this remote trailhead. If the conditions are right, and you have a vehicle that can handle the road, the Tower Arch Trail takes you to secluded, beautiful parts of the park that can be a welcome reprieve from the often crowded trailheads.
