At 1.6 kilometers long, it is the longest tunnel in France accessible by bike and open to a greenway. Don't forget to bring warm clothing when crossing, because the interior temperature is only around 11°C!
The Bois Clair tunnel is used by cyclists and pedestrians; it was once a railway line.
It is home to a population of protected bats which come to hibernate there. This is why it is closed between October and April. You must then use the diversion via route 14 which takes the Cluny road and the D17.

A former railway tunnel through which the cycle path now runs. With 1.6km it is the longest bicycle tunnel in Europe (la-bourgogne-a-velo.com/le-tunnel-du-bois-clair--1107fr--tif--patrimoines-PCUBOU071257229.html) ,
The tunnel is also open to pedestrians, but for a longer stay it could get a bit chilly.
Between the beginning of October and the middle of April the tunnel is closed.
