De Goudse Hout is an area of approximately 100 hectares in the Groene Hart, located in the municipality of Gouda. It is a characteristic open peat meadow area, to which open water, ditches, many bridges and bushes have been added and which is intersected by cycle and walking paths. Here there is room for nature experience and leisure activities for young and old.

The nature reserve is roughly enclosed by the Goudse Houtsingel in the east and south, the Utrecht - Rotterdam railway line and the polder area in the southeast, the Reeuwijkse plassen lakes and nature reserve in the east and the Platteweg in the north. The Goudse Hout also borders the Reeuwijkse plassen via the Platteweg.
De Goudse Hout was constructed in the 1980s on the Willens polder, with the old subdivision structure from the Middle Ages largely preserved. Parts are planted with trees and shrubs, other parts still have a very open character. There are also some small lakes.
