    It's not just a nice bridge.
    Here is also the opportunity to make a detour to the Von Wedelstaedt Park.
    The Von Wedelstaedt Park is a green area in Gelsenkirchen-Ückendorf, named after its founder Carl von Wedelstaedt.
    The approximately nine-hectare forest park in the south of Gelsenkirchen (often called the Südpark) has an artificial pond with a fountain, a curved network of paths, lawns and a children's playground.

        Please note: the detour through the park to Wattenscheid to get to the Ruhr is currently (2020) closed due to a major construction site as part of the Emscher conversion. A cycling diversion is NOT signposted, you have to find the way yourself :-)
