In the bell tower, the association "History and Heritage of Anglars du Cayrol" has set up a surprising museum illustrating with many details and documents, the history of the exploitation of the bluish slate found on a majority of roofs of local houses. This very special slate made up of shales comes from several quarries, which have been exploited for centuries near the village. If you wish, a hiking circuit allows you to discover, in particular, a place of extraction nestled in the heart of remarkably preserved nature, omnipresent in this region which marks the transition between the Lot valley and the Aubrac plateaus.
