- a really successful day ..... no wonder with such a great route with so much variety, far-sightedness and so much to discover.
Everything included and hardly any traffic (at least on my chosen tour) - meadows, fields, forest, gravel, trails and of course the lake - up, across, down, up, over - and there is always something to look at.
Wonderful, you don't even notice how time flies, here is a photo and there is one more and you are still 10 hours in the air ... great! From the all-round bike path you come to the water through small "forest slip paths" or at the designated bathing bays. The 'beaches' are very rocky - there is a lot going on on the water itself, various rental paddle boats🛶🚣♀️, sailing ⛵️ & motor boats 🚤, inflatable boats, mattresses, 🏊🏼♀️🏄🏻♂️ .... but maybe the abundance was also due to the fact that it was Sunday ..... the bike path also seems very popular with humans and animals 🐕
Technically, the Diemelsee is one of my 'favorites' - sooo beautiful.
If you do not want to go around the lake so far, there are enough signposted smaller routes or a direct bike path that runs right next to the lake, but you are on a fairly long bike route between the busy road and the edge of the forest, so that the roar of Cars begleitet and especially bikers begleitet (lots of nice curves) accompanied ..... that's why I decided to give it a big sweep ... with lots of rewards for the senses. 🦋
