The waterfall in the immediate vicinity of Reinhardstein Castle is the highest waterfall in Belgium at 60 meters. The descent into the valley is worthwhile for a photo opportunity.

When the water is low, you can cross the Warche riverbed over brook stones without getting your feet wet. Directly at the waterfall of the castle there are beautiful perspectives. Crampons are embedded in the rock next to the waterfall, but their use is prohibited by signs. Pity!

Not far from the castle, slightly downstream and still on the right bank of the Warche, is the Reinhardstein waterfall, the highest waterfall in Belgium (60m). This is at the confluence of the Ru du Chèneu with the Warche.

Particularly spectacular in spring when the waterfall has a lot of water. Often dry or a small trickle in summer.
Be careful: in frosty temperatures, the descents into the Warchetal to the foot of the waterfall are often completely icy (the narrow valley is a real ice cellar) and must be walked with great caution, i.e. the paths are real slides.

This waterfall is located next to Reinhardstein Castle.
It can be reached via several paths, one of which begins just before the castle gate.
You have to go down to the river (the Warche), then a wooden bridge allows you to cross the river. Walk a little further and the view is complete to admire the 60m high waterfall.
The waterfall is on private property - but access to its base is free, bypassing the castle.
