The park is one of the most famous in Lausanne and is actually home to several highlights in one.
A theater was built here in the 19th century, in which Voltaire performed plays during his stays in Lausanne.
A landscaper specializing in English gardens was hired to transform the former country house and vineyard into today's park: an orangery, aviaries, a farmhouse, rock gardens and greenhouses.
In 1927 the building of the Swiss Federal Court was inaugurated in the park. Between 1998 and 2002, the city carried out extensive restoration work to restore this remarkable plant, architectural and cultural heritage.
When visiting, you should also note the ancient trees, especially the majestic sequoia tree.
The 'Maison de Mon-Repos' was the former seat of the International Olympic Committee.
