"The Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus is the third new parliament building on the Spree and was inaugurated in December 2003 with the ceremony to hand over the keys. envisaged costs of 190 million euros and completion by the end of 2014, starting in 2010.

The construction costs had now increased to 247 million euros. An opening is expected in 2024 at best, but a necessary demolition in 2022 could not be ruled out (as of May 2022). The costs amounted to 332 million euros in May 2022, every private company would now slowly go bankrupt, and the final amount has not yet been determined.
