A very nice place to rest, have a picnic or just relax. The castle ruins can be reached via a path that is partly steep and the foliage coloring now at this time of year is indescribably beautiful

For several years now, a stamp point for the Harzer Wandernadel Karstwanderheft has been located at the Lichtenstein castle ruins.

The castle grounds themselves and the paths through the Lichtenstein are absolutely recommendable. I recommend visiting in the summer months when the trees are in full foliage. Simply magnificent!!!
