Pay attention:

The South Pier will be closed to the public in (forecast) wind force 6 or more from the west, southwest or northwest directions. The North Pier will be closed with winds from the northwest or west. The IJmuider Rescue Brigade closes off the South Pier and the North Pier with a barrier, closes the gates and hoists the red flag at the foot of the pier. The closure is valid for 24 hours. The next morning after 10 a.m., the weather forecast will be used to assess whether the pier(s) can be reopened to the public.
