Quarry below "First"

The ancient knight family of the "Von Hagen", who lived in Büschfeld for more than 5 centuries, had a castle built at the foot of today's Schlossberg in the 13th century, which after several structural changes over the centuries finally intervened in 1897 with the construction of the railway line Lebach and Wadern had to give way. The boulders and stones used to build the castle were broken in this quarry, cut down and carried down the nearby steep slopes to the valley. You can find more information about the former castle and the village of Büschfeld at "Von Hagen Platz" at the Primsbrücke in the center of the village. Source text: information board
