First mentioned around 1110 and dissolved by Napoleon in 1810. In the same year the banker Wilhelm von Löbbecke from Braunschweig bought the monastery. In 1850 Löbbecke was accepted into the Hildesheim knighthood and since then has been managing his property as the Löbbecke manor. The estate is still owned by the family.

Dorstadt Monastery is a former Augustinian nunnery in Dorstadt, Wolfenbüttel district.
After secularization in 1803, it became a manor and is now privately owned.
The monastery was founded by the Saxon noble family of Dorstadt.
It was founded in 1189 by Arnold von Dorstadt, who died without heirs.
His relative, Bishop Adelog von Hildesheim, confirmed and privileged the foundation in the same year.
The monastery received the patronage of the Holy Cross.
