At 1953 meters above sea level, the Vito is theoretically the 40th highest point in Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, since it is not directly defined as a mountain peak (see definition of a mountain below ...) it is not included in the list of the highest mountains.
Definition of a mountain
Since the definition of a mountain is not generally valid, a distinction is made in this list between mountain and secondary peaks. If a mountain does not reach the necessary notch height of 300m is rated as a secondary peak. I.e. if there is not at least a 300m deepening between a highest point A and a nearby second highest point B - the lower peak is rated as a secondary gifel.
