Event center with great architecture. There used to be a steel mill here. Today you can find offices, conference rooms, coworking spaces, institutes, companies and startups in the IT cluster, all about climate protection and renewable energies, healthcare, design, creative industries and the Institute for Urban History of the City of Gelsenkirchen. Within walking distance of Gelsenkirchen's main train station.
The special feature of the construction was the world's first largest solar power plant in a densely populated area and at the same time the last work of light art by the American neon artist Dan Flavin. The parking areas all around also invite you to take a walk. The new creative quarter in Bochumerstraße and the artists' mile on Bergmannstraße are also directly adjacent. So to Ückendorf.
