The name Naturbad has its roots in the special water purification process. Chemical additives are completely dispensed with for the water treatment. By seeping the bathing water through a gravel filter overgrown with reeds, impurities are filtered out of the water and suspended organic matter is broken down. After passing through the filter, the cleaned water is naturally enriched with oxygen via a small drain with boulders and returned to the pool. The water is applied to the filter in a cheerful fountain play, which incidentally ensures a pleasant microclimate in the bathroom. The idea of being close to nature is also reflected in the design of the swimming pool. The swimming pools are delimited by natural building materials, the water surface is partially greened with pond plants. The pool is thus a notable example of the special environmental compatibility of swimming facilities and, due to the lack of chemicals, is particularly suitable for children and allergy sufferers. The natural pool is located in the middle of the Muskau Arch Geopark. The biologically purified water is well suited for people with particularly vulnerable skin or skin diseases. There is an adventure playground, volleyball field and table tennis tables on the premises. The natural pool is equipped with a disabled toilet.
Open from spring to autumn daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
