The Museum of Urban History has existed since 1994 in the listed timbered house "At the Liebfrauenkirche 7". Support is the Museum Association Neustädter Land e.V., which was founded in 1992 and took over from the district of Hannover, the holdings of the former local museum of the district Neustadt am Rübenberge.
The Museum of Urban History makes the most important collections of the former Heimatmuseum accessible to the public again. They are constantly supplemented by new acquisitions of donations and legacies.

At the Herzog-Erich-Allee at the bus stop south of the church stone pictures are fitted in the brick wall, which need an explanation. They are unfortunately very weathered and require some imagination.
The side facing the Schlossstrasse is the so-called Erichsstein. He shows, as Klages has already recorded before 1950 in his chronicle (S 46), in his upper part a coat of arms and - without a year - the following inscription:
