There is a sad love story surrounding the murderer's fountain in the city forest. Now the centuries-old small monument has become a trap for amphibians and has therefore been covered with a stamped metal sheet. However, there is protest against this.

It appears inconspicuous, but its name is scary: Anyone who sees the murderer's fountain in the city forest for the first time may not immediately understand its historical significance. It was first mentioned in a document, as it is described on the city's website, in 1742. There is a legend about a tragic love that ends in death. A water fairy is said to have lost her heart to a young hunter who was killed by another hunter out of jealousy. In her grief and anger, the water fairy is said to have taken drastic measures and strangled her loved one's murderer.
