    The reservoir is quite centrally located in the district of Olsberg. A path (path to the reservoir) leads from the center directly to the weir system. The lake is designed to generate electricity and therefore unfortunately cannot be used for boats or swimmers. A walk around the lake is definitely worth it. You can hike the naturally preserved path through the oak grove - well marked and signposted with the signs 1, 09 or X1. It is possible to get back to the town center on the other side of the lake via the Ruhr Bridge.
