The descent is very winding and exciting! But beware the oncoming traffic goes in the curves on the own lane !!! May be critical! In addition, in places, the road surface is really nasty and broken, even on small pieces of rock (but what one is made aware of) are not without tires for the road bike. Beautiful road in the cool gorge. From the north it feels like it goes downhill forever: not steep but very nice and fast, on almost perfect asphalt without much traffic. Top recommendation!

I wouldn't cycle up it on weekends in the summer, lots of motorcyclists. But it's a great descent downhill, but be careful in the sometimes tight curves! And there are almost always stones or even small boulders lying around...
Basically it is always a few degrees cooler in the Wehratal. This is very pleasant in summer, but please be careful in winter as it can quickly become slippery in shady areas
