Alexandrinenthal is an officially named part of the town of Rödental in the Coburg district of Upper Franconia. [1]

At the end of the 18th century, there was a grinding mill on the Röden, belonging to the town of Schafhausen in Unterschafhausen. In 1850 the gentlemen von Bartels and Monhard acquired the property and had a blue factory built on the site in which the blue laundry was produced. It was the first industrial establishment in the Rödental area. The donor, Mr. von Bartels, belonged to the Coburger Hofgesellschaft and was able to win Duchess Alexandrine to name and inaugurate the factory.
On January 1, 1971, Mönchröden merged with the municipalities of Einberg, Kipfendorf, Oeslau, Rothenhof and Unterwohlsbach to form the unified municipality of Rödental. [6] Since then Alexandrinenthal, which no longer has any residential or factory buildings, has been part of Rödental.

A very important footpath and cycle path leads directly along the former Alexandrinenthal, which is very easy to navigate due to its proximity to the river. The cycle path is sometimes a bit narrow with many walkers.
