    Here inclined cyclists and hikers cross the Leda in a somewhat spectacular way. Especially when a train thunders by next to you, your pulse rises. The bridge is also a good vantage point of the Leda barrage on the one hand and the last few meters of the river before it flows into the Ems on the other.
    From here it goes over the bridge to the old town to Leer or to the Jann-Berghaus-Brücke over the Ems into the Rheiderland and to the south along the bike path along the railway to Ihrhove.
    The country road runs across this, which leads us along a wonderful dike route up the Ems, past Esklum and Mitling MArk to Papenburg and the Meyer shipyard.

        Yes, the path is narrow, but quite easy to walk on and level (grating). But you should get off and push your bike over the bridge, because the path is marked with a sign as a footpath. The problem is not so much the width of the path as the height of the railing. The height of the handrail is not adapted to cyclists and if you tip against the handrail, you could take an involuntary bath. Two cyclists in mutual traffic are hardly possible on the bridge.
