The owls are one of the most frequently posted pictures that you see here on Komoot during the tours around the Bredenbeker pond.
Unfortunately, I've never seen them myself, although I feel like I drive by every couple of weeks.
Of course, I've already seen her by now. Very nice.

To commemorate a more than 150-year-old oak tree that unfortunately had to be felled, an artist carved two decorative owls from the stump of the tree. A commemorative plaque provides information:
“On this spot stood a beautiful 155-year-old oak tree that had to be felled in November 2003 due to illness. All of us who rested, laughed, ate, played and partied under that tree miss her dearly. This sculpture, which was carved from the trunk of the old oak tree, stands as a reminder of this beautiful time. A new pedunculate oak was planted this spring. We wish that this grows up to the same splendor.
